Anthropic has unveiled Claude Skills, a powerful folder-based system that lets organizations bundle their internal workflows, procedures, and executable scripts into structured packages the AI can autonomously access and use when performing tasks.

📁 Folder-structured Skills: Each skill acts as a directory package containing instruction files, code, and reference docs that Claude loads dynamically based on task relevance.


🧠 Progressive disclosure: Claude first reviews skill names and descriptions, then selectively activates the components needed to complete a workflow.


🧰 No-code Skill Creator: Teams can build or edit skills through an interactive assistant—no manual file editing or programming required.


🔗 Coordinated skills: Multiple skills can collaborate, enabling hybrid workflows—like merging brand guidelines with financial-reporting templates in a single execution.

Anthropic’s new system represents a major step toward modular, agentic AI—where assistants can “load in” knowledge and capabilities much like human experts retrieving specialized training.
